Play Haven - Term & Policies
By booking a Stay & Play session, soft play hire, or balloon styling service, you agree to the terms and policies outlined below. These are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free experience for everyone.
Booking Policy
To secure your date, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Your booking will not be confirmed until this deposit has been received and a confirmation message has been sent from Play Haven.
Once your deposit is paid, your chosen date, package, and time slot will be reserved exclusively for you.
Please ensure that the space provided for setup is safe, clean, and accessible at the agreed setup time. It is the hirer’s responsibility to inform Play Haven of any access issues, stairs, or obstacles in advance.
Final event details (including location, start time, and package preferences) should be confirmed no later than 7 days before your event to ensure smooth setup and planning.
To book for balloon styling, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Your booking will not be confirmed until this deposit has been received and a confirmation message has been sent from Play Haven. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event date via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment Policy

Bookings made within 7 days of the event require full payment at the time of booking.
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in your booking being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
For Stay & Play sessions, payment is required in full at the time of booking through our secure booking link.
Play Haven reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if payment terms are not met.
A €50 refundable security deposit is required with your final payment for all soft play hires. This deposit simply covers any potential loss, damage, or excessive cleaning.
Your deposit will be fully refunded within 48 hours of collection, provided all equipment is clean, undamaged, and returned in the same condition as delivered.
If any damage or cleaning costs occur, the amount will be deducted from the security deposit. Should costs exceed the deposit, an invoice will be issued to the hirer.
This small deposit helps us keep our play equipment safe, clean, and ready for every family to enjoy.
Cancellation Policy
Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred once to a new date if at least 14 days’ notice is given and the new date is available.
Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice will forfeit the full balance unless agreed otherwise under exceptional circumstances.
If Play Haven must cancel due to illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered a full refund or alternative date.
Insurance Policy
Play Haven is fully insured and committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all families.
However, please note that Play Haven is NOT liable for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during or after the hire or session.
All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when using Play Haven equipment. The safety and wellbeing of children remain the responsibility of the hirer and/or parents throughout the hire period.
Our equipment is regularly cleaned, inspected, and maintained to the highest standard, but Play Haven will not accept liability for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from misuse, lack of supervision, or failure to follow safety guidelines.
Delivery & Setup Policy
Play Haven will deliver, set up, and collect all hired equipment at the agreed time and location.
Please ensure that the setup area is clean, flat, and free from sharp objects, stones, or animal waste before our arrival.
We require clear and safe access to the setup area. Any stairs, restricted access, or parking limitations must be communicated in advance to allow adequate time and planning.
Once the setup is complete, the hirer will be asked to review the equipment and confirm they are satisfied before the hire period begins.
Equipment must not be moved or rearranged once set up.
All balls from ball pits should be kept inside ball pit during hire time and upon collection all balls must be placed in ball pit.
Free delivery within 10km of Carlow Town, After 10km: €5 per additional 10km (this includes travel there and back)
Delivery charge is based on distance
Soft Play Hire Policy
Our soft play setups are designed for indoor or covered use only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Please ensure there is adequate space for the choosen set up and adeqaute time 45mins-1hour plus depending on the set up and 45mins-1 hour to take down
Equipment must be kept clean, dry, and free from food, drink, or face paint, glitter & pens throughout the hire period.
No pets near equipment
No smoking and no alchohol near equipment
Children must be supervised at all times, and the equipment should be used by the appropriate age group (0–6 years).
Please ensure that all shoes including adults are removed before going on the equipment including mats and that no sharp objects, toys, or jewellery are used on the mats or equipment. Socks always on
Any missing, damaged, or excessively dirty items will be charged accordingly and deducted from the €50 refundable security deposit or charged in full for full replacement of iteam.
Balloon & Prop Hire Policy
All balloon displays and props are handled with care during setup to ensure a professional finish.
Once the setup is complete, Play Haven is not responsible for damage caused by weather, heat, transport, or handling after delivery.
Props, backdrops, or stands hired from Play Haven must not be moved, altered, or dismantled by anyone other than a Play Haven team member.
If any props or stands are damaged or missing upon collection, the replacement cost will be invoiced to the hirer.
Please note that balloons are for decorative use only and are not toys. Small balloon pieces can pose a choking hazard — please ensure children are supervised at all times.
Play Haven's Stay & Play Terms and Conditions
1. General Information

By booking and attending a Stay & Play session, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

All sessions are designed for children aged 0–6 years and are supervised by parents or guardians at all times.

Play Haven staff are present to manage the session setup and ensure a safe environment but are not responsible for childcare.
2. Booking & Payment
-
Bookings must be made online in advance through our official booking link or website.
-
Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.
-
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
-
Once payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking details.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
-
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session may be transferred to another available date (subject to availability).
-
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session are non-refundable.
-
If Play Haven must cancel a session (e.g. due to venue issues, illness, or unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another session.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method.
4. Supervision & Responsibility

All children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
-
Parents/guardians are fully responsible for the safety and behaviour of the children in their care.

Only children aged 0–6 years may use the play equipment.

Older siblings are welcome to attend but must not use the soft play equipment for safety reasons.
5. Safety & Conduct
-
Socks must be worn in the play area at all times (both adults and children).
-
No shoes, food, or drinks are allowed inside the play area.
-
Please remove jewellery, badges, or any sharp objects before play.
-
Rough play, climbing on the outer walls of the play equipment, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.
-
Play Haven reserves the right to ask any attendee to leave if behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive.
6. Health & Hygiene

Please do not attend if your child or anyone in your group is unwell or has had symptoms of illness (vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, etc.) within the past 48 hours.

Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance and should be used before entering the play area.
-
Play equipment is cleaned and sanitised before and after each session.
7. Personal Belongings
-
Personal items remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian at all times.

Play Haven cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the session.
8. Photography & Social Media
-
Parents are welcome to take photos of their own children.
-
Please be mindful not to photograph or record other children without permission.
-
Play Haven occasionally takes promotional photos during sessions — consent will always be requested beforehand.
9. Liability
-
While every effort is made to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, Play Haven cannot accept responsibility for injuries or accidents that occur due to misuse of equipment or lack of parental supervision.

All play is undertaken at your own risk.
10. Changes to Terms

Play Haven reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Play Haven's Soft Play Hire – Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payments

Security deposits are refunded within 48 hours once equipment is checked and confirmed in good condition.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.

Cancellations made 14+ days before the event: booking deposit retained, other payments refunded.

Cancellations made within 14 days: all payments are non-refundable.

If Play Haven must cancel due to emergency, illness, or unsafe conditions, a full refund or new date will be offered.
3. Delivery & Collection

Free delivery within 10km of Carlow Town.
-
Additional distance is charged at €5 per 10km (there & back).
-
Hire duration is 4 hours, unless pre-booked extra hours (€20/hr).
-
The setup area must be clean, safe, accessible, and ready for installation.
-
Equipment must not be moved once set up.
4. Safety & Supervision
-
Adult supervision is required at all times.
-
Play Haven staff do not supervise children at private events.
-
Soft play equipment is suitable for children aged 0–6 only.
-
No food, drinks, shoes, face paint, slime, glitter, or sharp objects allowed in the play area.
-
Children must use the equipment safely and appropriately.
5. Damage, Loss & Cleaning
-
Equipment must be returned in the same clean, undamaged condition as delivered.
-
Any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning will be deducted from the security deposit.
-
Costs exceeding the deposit will be invoiced.
-
Soft play must be used indoors, or outdoors only under full cover (marquee/gazebo).
6. Liability

Play Haven accepts no responsibility for injuries caused by misuse, lack of supervision, or unsafe surroundings.

By booking, the hirer accepts full responsibility for supervising all children and ensuring safe play.
Play Haven's Balloon Styling – Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payments

Add-ons (vinyl, props, cut-outs, florals) may require additional fees.
2. Design & Personalisation
-
Clients may choose colours, themes, and styles.
-
Changes to the design after confirmation may incur extra charges.

Personalised vinyl, themed cut-outs, and props can be added at additional cost.
3. Setup & Collection
-
The setup area must be clear, safe, and accessible.
-
Play Haven will professionally install all balloon displays.
-
Backdrops, stands, easels, and props remain the property of Play Haven.

Collection time will be agreed in advance.
4. Balloon Care
-
Keep balloons away from heat sources, sharp objects, pets, and direct sunlight.
-
Once installed, balloons become the responsibility of the client.
-
Play Haven is not liable for popped, damaged, or deflated balloons caused by environmental factors.
5. Delivery

Free delivery within 10km of Carlow Town.

Additional distance charged at €5 per 10km (there & back).

Balloons are decorative items, not toys.

Popped balloons pose a choking hazard and must be kept away from small children.
